豊かな苗床の作り方、Hugelkultur(フーゲルカルチャー)にトライしてみます。
Artland Iki

As I announced in my post yesterday, we have started to tidy up our construction area to make our little farm. I am a farming beginner but am going to try Hugelkultur that has been practiced in German and Eastern European societies for hundreds of years (according to Wikipedia). This is perfect way to start making our little farm as we have some logs, compost piles, branches that are needed to make hugelkultur. We wanted to use what we already have and I thought this is perfect as we can tidy up all the mess in our garden at the same time! We just need to pile/bury them and cover with soil.
My 12 years old son is also learning this way of making soil beds at his school so we can experiment this at home as well.
If you know more about hugelkultur please comment and leave your advice!
We are looking for farming guru who can host a workshop (or workshops!) in Iki. Please see my previous post as a related post.
Artland Iki wants to create skill and knowledge share opportunities to connect learners and guru through fun and exciting WORKSHOP. I believe we can expand so much possibilities through such opportunities.
photo; I have a good feeling that we will make a great little farm as some papaya are growing already in front of our newly built red brick wall...that is where our little farm are to be created!
